Large, scholarly, multi-disciplinary database containing full text for more than 4,600 scholarly publications, including more than 3,500 peer-reviewed publications. Includes the full text of Harper's Weekly and provides a continuous record of what happened on a weekly basis from 1857 through 1912. The first segment includes the Civil War Era: 1857-1865. Covers much of the social, political, and economic history of the United States during this period.
