At the coeducational, residential Winona campus, located in the majestic bluffs of the Mississippi River Valley, the undergraduate College curriculum combines traditional liberal arts and sciences with career preparation in a student-centered environment. Saint Mary’s also offers special undergraduate academic opportunities including the Lasallian Honors Program, individualized major study programs, cooperative professional programs, off-campus internships and programs for study abroad in London and Florence. The De La Salle Language Institute offers courses in English as a Second Language and cultural immersion to international students. At the Twin Cities campus, the English Language Academy helps undergraduate students learn English so they can continue their education successfully; participants can also earn up to 30 credits toward a bachelor’s completion degree at Saint Mary’s.

SMU’s School of Graduate and Professional Programs is one of the largest graduate schools in Minnesota. A pioneer in outreach education since 1984, the school creates communities of learning when and where they are needed, serving both adult learners and the broader educational needs of society. Programs are offered at SMU’s Twin Cities, Winona and Nairobi campuses and Rochester center, with courses offered in Apple Valley and approximately 100 off-campus sites in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Saint Mary’s enrolls about 4,300 adult learners in 50 degree and certificate programs in the School of Graduate and Professional Programs. An additional 200 students attend classes at SMU’s Nairobi campus. Seven master degree programs, eight certificate programs and the Ed.D. program are offered from the Winona campus. Twenty-one master degree programs, 12 certificate programs, two educational specialist degree programs, and the Ed.D. program are offered at SMU's Twin Cities campus, Apple Valley and Rochester centers. Programs are also offered through Nairobi, Kenya, and at approximately 100 off-campus sites across Minnesota and Wisconsin.
