Federal and state government reporting excludes data from postsecondary institutions outside of the United States. Therefore, Nairobi data is separate from the university's official data to ensure consistency in figures used internally and those reported externally.
All enrollment figures and charts are based on students registered by fall data freeze dates of the respective year. Enrollment data is presented for the Nairobi campus in total, as well as separated into the two distinct academic programs on the Nairobi campus, Christ the Teacher Institute of Education (CTIE) and the Maryknoll Institute of African Studies (MIAS). CTIE provides course work in teacher education leading to a three-year diploma in teacher education and a bachelor of education degree. (MIAS) offers an intensive inculturation experience for those wishing to learn more about African cultures. Students may earn a master of arts degree in African studies or a master of African studies degree, although many students use the experience for professional development and are not degree-seeking.
