Questionable morality and unethical practices of some people in positions of leadership have led to the conviction that there is an urgent need to help our children develop strong moral values and leadership skills. In response to these challenges that threaten the fabric of our society, the Tomorrow's Leaders High School Scholarship Program was established.
The intent of the Tomorrow's Leaders High School Scholarship program is to enable high school seniors to continue their education, enhance their leadership skills, and strengthen their commitment to a moral lifestyle. Our hope is that the Tomorrow's Leaders Scholars will become an elite group of outstanding leaders with impeccable credentials of integrity and morality.
The Tomorrow's Leaders High School Scholarship Program is a network of high schools within the midwest that provides financial incentive, in the form of a completely portable scholarship, to high school students of good character selected by their schools to complete innovative leadership and service projects during their senior year of high school.
In addition, Saint Mary's University will grant the high school $500 in each of the two years to help defray the costs of holding the competition for the scholarship and implementing the student award-winner's project.
The Tomorrow's Leaders High School Scholarship program was launched in 2003 with an initial gift to enlist five high schools. The program has now grown to become an established network of high schools throughout the Midwest region. These high schools share a belief that nurturing and developing ethical leaders for the society of tomorrow is of paramount importance.
This program makes a positive impact on these emerging leaders at a critical point in their lives. Stronger young women and men will emerge as a result, who in turn will lead by their example of lives of service and ethical leadership.
Our vision is for this program to grow and continue in perpetuity. This is made possible through the generosity of those who are passionate about shaping the leaders of tomorrow. |
