This program is for Registered Nurses only.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree completion program is designed for registered nurses looking to advance their professional role in today’s diverse health care field. This program expands current knowledge and experience with a strong emphasis on the science of nursing. Courses are designed to develop critical thinking, evidence-based nursing practices, and integrative scientific thought combined with an ethical patient-centered approach to nursing in diverse communities. |
- Nursing Practice- Provide quality nursing care through the implementation of evidence-based practice to diverse patients and families.
- Critical Thinking- Demonstrate critical thinking skills in a health care setting.
- Management and Supervision- Manage organizational processes and supervise personnel in a health care setting.
- Advanced Science- Incorporate concepts of scientific principles associated with nursing care.
- Diversity Issues- Interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Communication Skills- Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills.
- Collaboration and Teambuilding- Facilitate teams, collaboration, and mentoring among health professionals.

The BS in Nursing consists of 51 semester credits. All 51 credits are required courses consisting of 6 credits of communication core courses, 9 credits of management core courses, and 33 credits of core nursing courses.
All applicants must have: • achieved an overall GPA of 2.5 in their Associate Degree of Nursing program • unencumbered registered nurse licensure • language proficiency necessary for successful undergraduate coursework • successfully completed one English composition course
