From student government and intramural sports to Habitat for Humanity and talent shows, Saint Mary’s students know how to dive into meaningful activities and have fun. And if you don’t find an activity that interests you, let us know and we’ll help you create your own student group!
Student Activities Committee
Members of Student Activities Committee (SAC) make up the Student Senate committee that is responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating activities that are social and recreational in nature for the entire Saint Mary's community. SAC members plan activities such as hypnotists, movies, casino night, concerts, comedians, and more.
Represents the student body and is responsible for bringing the concerns of the student body to the administration at Saint Mary's.
Big and Little Pals
Serves the community by matching Saint Mary's student volunteers with elementary school students in Winona. SMUMN students (Big Pals) spend time with elementary school students (Little Pals) and serve as role models for children of diverse backgrounds.
Participants reinforce self-esteem, foster valuable friendships, and create a healthy environment where the developmentally disabled can enjoy various group activities.
Assists local parishes with their faith formation.
De La Salle Week
A week of activities that celebrates the life and heritage of Saint John Baptist de La Salle and the Christian Brothers.
Habitat for Humanity
Students contribute to the Winona community by volunteering time to help build and renovate houses and assist in fundraising activities in the area.
Dedicated to faith, community, and service, and guided by the vision of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, participants engage in local outreach projects and connect with Lasallian Collegians throughout the Midwest in an annual retreat and service project.
Lasallian Week of Peace
A week of activities and speakers focused on justice and advocacy of the Lasallian call to live the Catholic Social Teachings in our personal lives.
Leadership Formation Day
Skill-building activities to promote effective student group leaders on campus in faith-forming activities.
Assists in the planning and promotion of Christ the Teacher Institute for Education (CTIE) and Lasallian heritage events on campus.
New Student Retreat
A chance for new students to have fun, meet new people, and look ahead to the experiences that await them at Saint Mary’s.
Outreach Retreat Team
Plans and facilitates confirmation retreats for parishes in the Diocese of Winona.
Serving Others United in Love (S.O.U.L)
Provides Saint Mary's students and faculty with the opportunity to serve and be served through mission trips and urban plunges, all the while building faith and community among SMUMN participants.
Together Encountering Christ (T.E.C.) Retreats
Three-day retreats that focus on how Christians experience the paschal mystery in our lives.
Assist in the furthering of Lasallian philosophy of faith, zeal, and service to society.
Black Students and Allies
Promotes awareness of the Democratic Party's political philosophies.
Promotes awareness of the Republican Party's political philosophies.
Colleges Against Cancer
Works with the American Cancer Society to support those who have been affected by cancer. The organization works to create teams for the Relay for Life event on campus.
Culture of Life Club
Promotes the right to, preservation of, and respect for all life from conception to natural death.

Works closely with the administration to empower all members of the Saint Mary's community to come together to challenge, inspire, and liberate one another from the fears and prejudices which impair our ability to achieve our full potential.
International Students Club (ISC)
Promotes international students' involvement in the Saint Mary's student community and local cultural life.
Peace and Justice Club
Educates the Saint Mary’s community on issues concerning social justice. Participation in grassroots democracy and the political process are elements of the mission of the club.
S.A.F.E. (LGBTQ and Allies Club)
Taylor Richmond Benefit Dance Committee
Each year the Taylor Richmond Benefit Dance Committee picks a cause that they feel is worthy of a fundraising effort and then plans a formal dance from which all profits are donated to the cause.
Turning Point USA
Blue Angel Talent Show
A student talent/variety show sponsored by Phi Mu Alpha, held in November.
The Concert Band is open to all students with high school band experience. We perform twice each semester and practice twice a week. Register for MUE111 for 1 or 0 credits. School-owned instruments are available.
Fireside Talent Show
An acoustic student talent/variety show sponsored by Sigma Alpha Iota, held in February.
Gaslight Senior Class Talent Show
A student talent/variety show sponsored by the senior class, held in April.
Midwest Music Fest Club
Promotes the annual Winona Midwest Music Fest held in April.
Open Mic Night
Provides opportunity for performance of any kind, once a month.
Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia
Encourages and actively promotes the highest standards of creativity, performance, education, and research in the U.S. Members promote an awareness of music through activities such as the Blue Angel and Gaslight music shows and provide technical support for student activities on campus.

Promotes the area of accounting among faculty and students by providing practical experiences and field trips.
Promotes interest in art at Saint Mary's through activities such as trips, movies, art projects, and demonstrations.
Association of Supervision & Curriculum Development (Education)
Works in conjunction with the Education Department to address aspects of curriculum with future teachers.
Provides an opportunity for educational and social interaction among students interested in biology. Activities include trips to state parks, museums, wildlife adoptions, and canoe/camping trips.
Works to promote the study of chemistry among faculty and students. Students attend national conferences to present their research.
Computer Science and Math Club
Provides opportunities for students with an interest in computer science and math to gather with fellow students and faculty socially to discuss ideas, puzzles, and problems.
Envision (Entrepreneurship Club)
Organizes activities of particular interest to history majors, including guest speaker presentations, visits to historical sites, trips to the theater, and more.

Discusses topics of interest in literature, takes trips, and attends guest speaker presentations.

Promotes interest in and education about the music industry.

Promotes the Psychology Department and provides a vehicle for exploring psychological issues in the hopes of furthering theoretical and practical knowledge as it pertains to students and campus life.
