Caring for Students' Well-being
The Jay Johnson Wellness Center on the Winona Campus promotes the development of the whole person and encourages a lifestyle that integrates emotional, intellectual, physical, social, spiritual, and vocational well-being.
Student health and counseling services are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A registered nurse is on staff for medical care and advice. Students attending classes on the Winona Campus are expected to carry health insurance. Information on health forms, physical exam requirements, and more is available from the Wellness Center Office.
Individual and group counseling and personal growth workshops are available to address a wide variety of issues and to assist students to make the most of their college experience. Many students report that counseling helps them to gain more satisfying personal lives and successful academic careers.
The Wellness Center is located in Vlazny Hall with hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
