The Office of Outdoor Leadership exposes students to the outdoors, allowing them to gain a greater appreciation of and stewardship for the earth. In the past, SMU's "outdoor counselors" and "eco reps" have lead students on backpacking, kayaking, canoeing, skiing, dogsledding and snowshoeing excursions. The office also hosts activities to increase environmental awareness on campus, showing how we can make a difference as individuals and as a university.

The Office of Outdoor Leadership oversees the following, all available to our students as well as the public:

• Challenge Ropes Course
• The Woods Disc Golf Course
• Saint Mary's network of trails

The office is located in the Toner Student Center Room 20, and it is staffed during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) throughout the academic year.
