Welcome to the SMU community! You will be informed of what to expect today, as well as what's to come in the next four years. The Orientation Leaders also have a surprise in store for you!
10:30–11 am Academic Success at SMU
Learn tips to help you navigate through the first–year academic challenges, course selection, academic observations, and the academic advising process. Also learn about the Living Learning Communities. There will be an opportunity for questions.
11:15 am–12:15 pm Lunch
Enjoy an SMU lunch provided by Chartwells, SMU's food service.
11:15 am–12:15 pm Resource Fair
Essential offices and departments will be available for students and families to get questions answered and to learn more about resources available on campus.
12:20–1:40 pm Academic Advising
Meet a faculty adviser regarding your intended major or, if you are undecided, courses that interest you.
1:50–4:00 pm Course Registration, SMU Technology, "A Student's Perspective"

With assistance of faculty, go online and select your courses for your first semester at SMU.
  SMU Technology
Learn how to use your SMU Gmail, Webtools, and other essential SMU Technology pieces.
4:05–5 pm Residence Life at SMU
A Residence Life staff member will introduce you to what it is like to live on campus and answer any questions you may have. Students living off campus will meet as a smaller group to talk about getting connected on campus while you live off campus.
5 pm Check–Out, Saint Mary's Hall
