The undergraduate program of study, which is aimed toward obtaining a bachelor’s degree, is at the heart of all the academic activity on the Saint Mary’s University Winona campus. And at the heart of the undergraduate program is the emphasis on a liberal arts education. This means that while students focus on a particular major as preparation for future careers, they also study subjects outside of their major area — with the goal of creating well-rounded, critical thinking, future citizens of our globally interdependent world.
Saint Mary’s University offers 57 major fields of study for students to choose from, divided into the following four general schools:
• School of Humanities and Sciences
• School of Business
• School of Education
• School of the Arts
