Your step-by-step guide to Financial Aid

Apply for admission and academic scholarships online (for free!) at

Complete FAFSA
As soon as possible after January 1 (and before March 15), complete your FAFSA at to be considered for need-based financial aid. Use your family’s tax information from the previous year, and be sure to include the Saint Mary’s school code, 002380. Don’t forget that March 15 is the priority date to apply for need-based financial aid.

Apply for Additional Scholarships
Your talents can also alleviate some of your college costs. At Saint Mary’s, hard work pays off. Apply for Saint Mary’s talent scholarships for art, music, and theatre by March 1 - auditions and/or portfolio submissions must be completed by this date.

Receive Award Package

Once you have been accepted to Saint Mary’s and have submitted your FAFSA, you will receive a financial award package outlining the aid available to you. To help explain your situation and discuss options, financial aid chats for parents are held in March and April in your region. Sign up online at
