Residence Halls
Discover your home away from home
For the 2009-2010 academic year, the following changes have been made:
- Saint Edward's Hall will house a few upper-class students in a designated area.
- Vlazny Hall will be co-ed, housing first-year through graduate students.
- Watters Hall residents will receive one room instead of two; rooms charges will be reduced by $600/semester.
Please note that the makeup of this year's student body dictated these changes, and they are not permanent.
First-Year Halls
First Year Halls are substance free, traditional, corridor-style halls housing between 55 to 100 students. Four of the halls are centrally located on campus near the dining hall, student mail boxes, and athletic facilities with one hall nestled in the campus bluffs. Incoming first year students are placed in standard double rooms with a roommate.
Upperclassmen Housing
Our upper class halls are co-ed, with the exception of Vlazny, which houses female first-year and sophomore students. Theses halls house between 40 to 100 students. Living arrangements range from traditional, corridor-style residence halls to suites with a bathroom, shared bedroom with a bathroom, single room, and apartments with a bath and an efficiency kitchenette. Some of the halls alternate female/male by floors, while others alternate by room. The mission of the villages (apartment-style living) is to prepare mature and responsible junior and senior students for the more independent lifestyle they will experience after graduation.
Graduate Student Housing
Watters Hall provides housing for 30 graduate students. Each student has a single bedroom and another single room to use as a study.
There is an additional fee for the following residence halls:
| Four-person village apartments & Gilmore Creek Hall |
$200 per year per student |
| Pines Hall |
$400 per year per student |
| Hillside Hall |
$600 per year per student |
