The Office of Outdoor Leadership exposes students to the outdoors, allowing them to gain a greater appreciation of and stewardship for the earth. In the past, SMU's "outdoor counselors" and "eco reps" have lead students on backpacking, kayaking, canoeing, skiing, dogsledding and snowshoeing excusions. The office also hosts activities to increase environmental awareness on campus, showing how we can make a difference as individuals and as a university.

The Office of Outdoor Leadership oversees the campus's new Challenge Ropes Course, as well as The Woods Disc Golf Course and Saint Mary's network of trails.

The office is located in the Toner Student Center Room 8C and is staffed during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) throughout the academic year.
