Elevator Pitch Business Idea Contest
For high school & community college students

As an introduction to entrepreneurial studies for business-minded students, the Saint Mary's University Business Department and the Kabara Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies periodically sponsor business idea contests.

Contestants create an idea for a new business and answer a brief series of questions about that idea. Judging takes place in two divisions, one for high school students and one for community college students.

Saint Mary's University alum Dr. Jon Kabara and his wife, Betty, made a very generous gift to the university and specified that it be used to establish the Kabara Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies. The goal of the institute is to incite a passion for entrepreneurial spirit in students by providing opportunities for a greater understanding and appreciation of the importance of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship in our society.

The Fall 2013 contest will open in August.
