Volleyball Camp 2015 A residential individual skills camp The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota Volleyball Camp 2015 is open to girls entering grades 6-8 and 9-12 in Fall 2015. Please leave valuables at home. Meal Information Dinner on Sunday through breakfast on Thursday will be provided for residential campers. Dinner on Sunday through Wednesday and lunch on Monday through Wednesday will be provided for commuters. Camp Store The camp store will be open in the residence hall each evening for snacks and refreshments. Campers will be able to get a snack after their evening game or while watching the evening film in the residence hall lounge. We will provide banking services so that you will need to carry only a small amount of cash with you. Campers will be issued a punch card for requested denominations. All purchases and charges will be assessed against a campers account upon request. Remaining balance will be refunded at check-out. Past Saint Mary's University volleyball uniforms may be available for purchase. All campers will recieve a camp t-shirt at check-out. General FAQs: Q: Do we offer scholarships? A: Not at this time Q: What kind of supervision is there? A: Campers are supervised during their entire stay. All facilities are on campus and campers will not be traveling off-site. Q: Are the rooms air-conditioned? A: Saint Mary's residence halls are not currently air-conditioned. Fans are permitted and recommended. Window units are NOT allowed. Alternate sleeping arrangements may by made if weather conditions become severe. Q: What will occur if there is a storm? It's too hot? Etc.? A: Program Directors are updated frequently by Campus Safety and Administration of any threatening weather conditions. All staff are trained on procedures to be followed in any emergency situation. Q: May I check in or out early or late? A: We understand that our campers are coming from long distances, swim meets, family reunions and other sporting activities. There is no problem in checking in a couple hours later. Just notify the camp office and we will make arrangements to fit your situation. Q: May parents visit campers while at camp? A: Yes, we encourage parents to come and visit. You may watch the instruction while visiting your child(ren). Volleyball FAQs: Q: How are teams divided up? A: Teams are divided by a combination of three things: 1) skill level; 2) age and grade; and 3) position. Q: What is the player to coach ratio? A: We have no more than 14 players on each court. Each court has a head coach as well as an assistant coach/counselor.
