Because SMU does not apply a full-time staff photographer or videographer, priority will always be given to events and photos/videos for which there is a broad external marketing purpose (publications, advertising, the web, etc.). First priority will be given to projects that have a high return on investment and are meant for mass media audiences. Photography and/or video coverage is not guaranteed. If we cannot accommodate your photo request, we will suggest a professional freelance photographer (at an approximate rate of $60-70 an hour at the requesting department’s expense) or you may check out a digital camera from the C&M office to take your own photos. Video cameras are available for checkout from the iT Department.
