To make a change to an existing web page on the main SMU website (www.smumn.edu), browse to the page on the website that needs changes and click on the Site Feedback/Changes link at the bottom of the page.
To initiate a new web project, create a request by filling out the Web Services Request Form.

When your Web Services Request Form or Site Feedback/Changes Form is submitted, it is added to our project tracking tool and assigned to the appropriate member of the web team. If no consultation is needed to complete a task (minor changes to an existing web page or pages), the web team member will complete the task and notify you. If the project/task is more complex, a meeting (in-person or virtual) will be scheduled.
Saint Mary’s style is the set of grammar, editorial and design conventions all publications – print or electronic – are required to follow. Grammar and editorial style is based on the Associated Press Stylebook and ensures consistency within all SMU communications.
The web team can assist individuals/offices/programs/departments with their content if needed. The web team, and/or other editorial staff, will edit all submitted content to conform to our style guide as necessary.

Note: Word documents and PowerPoint files can be converted to .pdf files. The web team can convert these to web-ready PDFs for you.
The university has guidelines that help determine when there is a demonstrated need for an auxiliary website (micro-site).
If it is determined that your office/department/program needs an auxiliary website, the web team will provide templates for your site and show you how to maintain it. To initiate a new web project, create a request by filling out the Web Services Request Form.

Footage you have shot should be dropped off on the device used to film it. Completed projects should be delivered on a USB drive or DVD or uploaded using the Services Request Form.
After being edited and/or reviewed for content and appropriateness, the web team will upload your video to the SMU YouTube channel and embed it in the SMU website.
To initiate a new web photo gallery project, create a request by filling out the Web Services Request Form.
Photographs can be submitted either using the form (upload files directly – useful for small numbers of photographs, 1-4 images) or photograph files can be delivered on a USB drive or CD/DVD (best practice for large numbers of photographs) to either the Winona or the Twin Cities web offices.
The Web Services Request Form should be filled out even if the photograph files are being hand-delivered.
