We will remain true to our mission
We will remember our mission to awaken, nurture, and empower learners to ethical lives of service and leadership, enriched by our Lasallian Catholic heritage.

We endorse a culture of self-accountability in support of and care for our community
We advocate for wearing masks, using hand sanitizer, washing hands, and raising levels of attention in order to minimize the spread of the virus in the best interest of the health and safety of students, faculty, and staff.

We are flexible, resilient, and innovative
We will plan for the best and prepare for the worst, using our skills, talents, and passions to develop best-in-class solutions to challenges.

We are guided by a need for academic excellence and rigor
We will strive for academic excellence by showing dedication in and out of the classroom and using grit to meet our goals.

We focus on the student experience
We will keep our students, their Saint Mary’s experience, and their goals in mind in all we do, seeking their input and feedback to guide our decisions.

We are Saint Mary’s
We live, learn, work, and serve in a place and time marked by ever-increasing change.  The impact of this continuous transformation extends from our homes to our workplaces to our campuses, creating a need for courage; for innovation; for passion; for purpose; and for the imagination to value what was while setting a steady course for what will be.

With more than 100 years of history, 50,000 alumni around the world, and a long tradition of innovation, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota not only meets the needs of our students, but exceeds them; we not only educate our students, we create innovative programs and new methods of delivery to make that education meaningful; we not only honor our Lasallian Catholic heritage, but we live it to the fullest. We embrace all that Saint Mary’s was and is, while moving with passion and purpose toward what it will become.
