Position Responsibilities
The A/V Multimedia Specialist will provide direct support to end users with an emphasis on the coordination of audio/visual support needs for University events.  In addition, this role will provide backup support for other AV equipment as needed including but not limited to classrooms and conference rooms.
  • Diagnose and resolve first level technical device issues including PC, Mac, printer and phone issues
  • Assist with audio/visual support requests
  • Perform minor device repair
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date asset tracking
  • Provide documentation for end users
Essential Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of analog and digital media connectivity and A/V equipment
  • Knowledge of MAC and PC operating systems
  • Use/interpret job related terminology, effectively and efficiently
  • Creative problem solving skills, attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to communicate and interact successfully with a diverse community of faculty, students, and staff
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing time demands
  • Off-hour and weekend support for special events
  • Ability to travel between campus locations on occasion

Education and Experience
High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 2 years of IT experience or an Associate’s degree. Will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must have a valid driver’s license.
Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field, Certifications (A+, Microsoft, etc), and experience in Crestron/Extron enterprise control systems preferred.
