Position Responsibilities
The Events Services Associate works closely with the Director of Event Services to assist in all aspects of event and camps planning on the Winona and St. Theresa campuses.  This position is customer service driven, working with both internal and external customers from the point of initial inquiry though the final contact to create successful event and camp experiences.  
  • With the director, act as a liaison with clients, suppliers, and departments to coordinate events.
  • Work with the university scheduling system to approve and complete set-ups for events.
  • Prepare and maintain office paperwork including proposals, contracts, invoices, and other documents.
  • Provide administrative support for the Office of Event Services and Camps.
  • Assist in training and scheduling student workers, including overseeing execution of assigned duties. 
  • Contribute to community outreach through involvement in related organizations.
  • Understand all operations of the office to provide back up in the absence of the Director.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with University service areas.

  • Self-motivated, professional, and highly disciplined with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Google Docs, and MS Office.  
  • Proven ability to exercise good judgment in recognizing the scope of authority.
  • Ability to maintain relationships that facilitate task accomplishments. 
  • Ability to take initiative to complete projects and duties as assigned.
  • Strong project management and planning skills. 
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. 
  • Respect confidentiality in discussing visitors, clients, staff, and organizational matters.
  • Work events as needed/scheduled.  May involve some nights and weekends.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.  Some postsecondary education is preferred.
