Position Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator provides academic program assistance, support, and coordination to the program director, faculty, and students of the Master of Arts in Special Education and English as a Second Language programs.
  • Assist with managing, evaluating, and refining program policies, procedures, and outcomes.
  • Assist with building of the course schedule according to program planning.
  • Communicate effectively with faculty, students and other departments.
  • Assist with securing the assigned faculty for program-planned courses.
  • Assist and support registration processes and answer student inquiries.
  • Provide textbooks and course materials to faculty in conjunction with the bookstore staff.
  • Facilitate successful admissions experience for adult learners.
  • Answer general questions about course schedules, registration, holds, and all SMUMN processes.
  • Prepare and manage the Blackboard online learning platform and the Taskstream database.
  • Perform trouble shooting for students (assist with CAMS, Blackboard and Engage learning platforms as needed).
  • Manage student enrollment, progress, and program completion.
  • Facilitate access of course materials for learners.
  • Deliver licensing applications to the Minnesota Department of Education.
  • Participate in meeting and events, as required.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required.
