Position Responsibilities

The Program Coordinator provides academic program assistance, support, and coordination to the program director, faculty, and students in the Graduate School of Health and Human Services.

  • Assist with managing, evaluating, and refining program policies, procedures, and outcomes.
  • Assist with building of the course schedule according to program planning.
  • Communicate effectively with faculty, students and other departments.
  • Assist with securing the assigned faculty for program-planned courses.
  • Assist and support responding to student inquiries.
  • Provide textbooks and course materials to faculty in conjunction with the bookstore staff.
  • Facilitate successful admissions experience for adult learners.
  • Answer general questions about course schedules, registration, holds, and all SMUMN processes.
  • Communicate effectively with community stakeholders.
  • Support the program director and associate director to help manage student enrollment, progress, and program completion.
  • Facilitate access of course materials for learners.
  • Participate in meetings and events, as required.

  • Have technology fluency to manage multiple databases (Excel) and Google Suite.

  • Have resourcefulness to connect with other university resources when needed.
  • Have advanced written communication skills.
  • Be able to engage in collaborative problem solving and provide critical feedback to improve processes.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required.
