Position Responsibilities
Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota seeks an experienced and enthusiastic individual for the position of Program Director of Public Health Programs to lead two programs:  Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Master of Public Health (MPH) programs.  This is a full-time, annually renewable, benefits-eligible position located in Minneapolis.
This motivated individual will be responsible for the leadership, direction, and administration of these programs.  Overall responsibilities include:  overseeing and leading development and assessment of the curriculum; recruitment and development of teaching faculty; recruitment, retention, and advising of students; and scheduling of courses.  General administration of the program includes overseeing the budget, supervision of staff, and cultivation of practicum sites and partners.

Education and Experience
The qualified candidate will have the following credentials and experience: 
  • A doctoral degree (DrPH, PhD or equivalent) is preferred.  Candidates with an MPH and significant experience in public health practice and in higher education will be considered.
  • A minimum of five years of public health practice experience.
  • Experience in higher education is preferred, including teaching, program development, and/or administration.
  • Experience working with the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accreditation standards is highly desired.
