Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota invites candidates to apply for a three-year term faculty position in the Theology department, beginning in August of 2020. The standard teaching load is defined as 22-24 credit hours per contract year, covering areas of undergraduate Roman Catholic Theology. Typically, that means eight 3-credit courses a year (4/4). Half of these could be our introductory course titled “Thinking Theologically.”
|Essential Skills and Abilities||
Evidence and demonstration of successful teaching is preferred as well as evidence of student mentorship and scholarly engagement. A desire to pursue excellence in teaching is necessary.

|Education and Experience||
The successful candidate will be Catholic and will have been granted a Ph.D. in Theology (open specialty) or a related field by August of 2020. Especially considered are persons willing and able to develop and teach major courses in Theology, including classes for the newly revised General Education program.
