Position Responsibilities
The Associate Director for Student Central Services provides strategic direction and oversight of the One Stop Student Services Center team on the Twin Cities campus.  This includes daily supervision, work direction, and problem solving for a cross-functional team responsible for key areas of enrollment, financial aid, student accounts, retention and other student services. The role is responsible for training, coaching and motivating the team to success.  The Associate Director will, over the course of the next year, also lead the development of the One Stop Student Services Center function on the Winona, MN campus to integrate both campuses into a single model for the entire university. 
  • Provide oversight, supervision, and management of the staff and operations of the one stop service in the areas of registration, financial aid, billing, retention and other services.
  • Forecast and plan for the needs of the one stop student services center.
  • Collaborate with the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and other offices to create a full service, one-stop student services model for both the Twin Cities and Winona campuses.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the center by providing leadership and planning for the needs of the office including (but not limited to) creation and development of training, learning evaluations, and outcomes assessment for all team members.
  • Develop a team leader for both campuses.
  • Hire, train, and support each center’s team members to develop the knowledge base to understand, interpret, and explain university, federal and state regulatory guidelines and procedures to students. 
  • Manage all one stop communications, website and virtual student service platforms.
  • Collaborate with the offices of the registrar, and the director of financial aid to develop strategies to improve one stop student services center policies and programs.
  • Work alongside the student services team to ensure high quality service is delivered.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, master’s degree is preferred.
  • Three plus years’ experience in creating or running One Stop Student Service Centers at a college or university. 
  • Experience working in a One Stop Student Services Center at a college or university.
  • Knowledge of the development and implementation of One Stop Student Services centers.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial aid, registration, and/or student billing in higher education environments.
