Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota invites candidates to apply for the annually contracted faculty position in the PsyD in Counseling Psychology program, beginning in June 2020. The standard teaching load is defined as 18-20 equivalent credit hours per contract year. The position entails teaching doctoral level courses, participating in the development and assessment of qualifying examinations, supervising dissertation research, and advising and mentoring graduate students.
Core faculty are responsible for maintaining the academic integrity of the program and play an essential role in curriculum development and review, supervision and evaluation of students, assessment of program outcomes, and development of program objectives.
|Essential Skills and Abilities||
The successful candidate will: 1) have a minimum of three years’ experience working as a professional psychologist; 2) be a graduate of an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program; 3) have completed an APA accredited internship; and 4) have experience providing psychological services to individuals, groups, and/or families from diverse backgrounds is preferred.
Candidates must have a record of effective instruction and potential to achieve excellence in teaching.

The Psy.D. in Counseling Psychology program is based on a practitioner-scholar model and has two primary aims that fit well within the larger institutional mission:

|Education and Experience||
The successful candidate will have the following credentials and experience:
Qualification to teach graduate courses in psychological assessment is required. In addition, experience working with diverse racial and ethnic communities and training/experience for the supervision of quantitative dissertation research is highly preferred.
