Position Responsibilities

The School of Business and Technology at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota invites applications for course-contracted faculty to support our online M.S. in Cybersecurity program. Course-contracted faculty are responsible for planning and delivering assigned courses. Program directors and assistant deans work closely with our course-contracted faculty each term to determine courses that are a good fit. All courses are taught outside of regular business hours (evenings, weekends, and online). This is a term-to-term appointment with responsibility to students, course materials, and instruction.

Courses taught may include:  Foundations of Cybersecurity, Security Architecture, Network Security and Intrusion Detection, Cybersecurity Change Management, Operational Security Policy, Risk Management, Data Privacy, Leadership and Ethics, Incident Response and investigation, Cracking the Perimeter, and Security Operations and Leadership.

It is expected that the faculty member will have knowledge and work experience in network information systems and cybersecurity management methodologies, communications, and ethics. Faculty are expected to focus on practical, hands-on, business-oriented application of course material.

Education and Experience
  • Must have a master’s degree or doctorate in a field related to computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or management or an out-of-field graduate degree with 10+ years of work experience. Any additional certifications would be beneficial.   
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in business and technology disciplines.
