Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota seeks an innovative and dynamic individual for the Director of Online Operations. This full-time position reports to and collaborates with the Associate Vice President of Online Strategy and Development. This role leads day-to-day operations of online degree programs and related offerings, across functional areas within Saint Mary’s University in partnership with education service providers. The Director of Online Operations partners with program leaders, faculty groups, and cross-functional areas to support the development and delivery of high-quality online programs. This position uses data-driven decision making to proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations and prioritizing initiatives to continually improve online degree operations.
Job responsibilities include organizing and prioritizing operational workflows; identifying and implementing online training for employees; leading policy development implementation efforts to ensure that online programs comply with regulatory and accreditation standards and maximize the student experience; ensuring alignment and engagement of functional resources to deliver online degree initiatives on time and on budget.
|Essential Skills and Abilities||
The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of collegiate functions, policy and process relationships, and integration of academic and administrative technologies; experience negotiating and administering contracts; project management skills involving multiple stakeholders within a complex matrix; effective leadership skills; excellent communication; strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.

|Education and Experience||
Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or related discipline is required; MBA with operations management emphasis is preferred. Minimum of five years’ demonstrated success in higher education administrative leadership; comparable corporate leadership success in operations management, preferably in a B2C online services or corporate development may B2C online services. All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
