Position Responsibilities

The Marketing Account Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining relationships and advancing projects to completion on budget, on time, and on brand. The role takes projects from initial kick-off through post-project analysis with excellent results, process improvements, and metrics that allow for objective review of key performance indicators. The position will develop relationships and work closely with key partners, including admissions, academics, advancement, student affairs, athletics, and the president’s office. The role requires solid marketing and project management experience, strong organizational and customer service skills, and proactive and skilled communication.

Essential Skills and Abilities
  • Experience and success in project management methods and techniques, including reporting, tracking, and communicating.
  • Marketing and/or communication experience or understanding of marketing and communication processes. 
  • Track record of success in account management or client/partner-facing work. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting, persuading, and educating clients and partners on processes and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of full Microsoft Office and job tracker systems, and basic analytics.
  • Ability to understand and improve systems (job trackers, metrics, analytics).
  The successful candidate must support, respect, and advance the mission of Saint Mary's University as a Lasallian Catholic institution.
Education and Experience
  • A bachelor's degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus, or evidence of strong project management skills. 
  • 3+ years of experience working in project management, account executive roles. 
  • 2+ years of marketing experience.
