Position Responsibilities

Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota is seeking a Student Services Specialist to provide a high level of customer service to students, parents, and other key constituents, primarily in the Winona undergraduate program. This position provides assistance related to financial aid processing and awards, tuition accounts, payment plans, and general registration issues. Job responsibilities include: 

  • Advise students on how to access the student portal and promote online service.
  • Advise students and families on the FAFSA process and assist in resolving issues.
  • Assist students and families in understanding their financial awards, financial planning for educational expenses, tuition accounts, and payment options.
  • Help manage all aspects of communication with students.
  • Serves as liaison with other university offices.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred. 1-3 years of work experience in higher education, student services, or other customer service related fields required.
