Position Responsibilities

Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in English beginning fall semester 2019.  The position is a one-year appointment, with a teaching load of 11-12 credits per semester that will include developmental and first year writing courses.

Essential Skills and Abilities

The successful candidate must have a record of effective teaching at the college level. Graduate coursework in rhetoric and composition or its professional equivalent preferred. 

  The successful candidate must support, respect, and advance the mission of Saint Mary's University as a Lasallian Catholic institution.
Education and Experience
Ph.D. in English or related field preferred.  
 
All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
Additional Required Materials Letter of interest, a CV with three references, and a statement of teaching philosophy.
