Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota invites various speakers throughout the year who will present on Lasallian Catholic topics. These speakers will present to the entire Saint Mary’s community on pertinent issues related to the national and international Lasallian network.

Brother Thomas Johnson, FSC, of Chicago, Ill., has served as the director of novices for the North American Region of the Brothers of the Christian Schools since 2014. He previously served as vicar general of the Brothers of the Christian Schools from 2007 to 2014. Prior to his election as vicar in 2007, Brother Thomas served as regional coordinator for the United States and Toronto, and provincial visitor of the Midwest and Chicago Provinces. He has also served as a secondary school administrator and teacher in the Chicago, Ill., area., and has worked at the Institute for Religious Formation.

He holds two master's degrees and has served on various boards of trustees for universities and organizations.
