Dr. Amanuel Abraha Teklemariam worked in institutions for higher learning for the last 20 years; in Eastern Africa and at St. Mary’s University. He published five educational books and more than 17 articles in refereed journals; and edited two interdisciplinary proceeding publications. He is interested researching in the areas related to ethics, Social justice, Religious education, impact of culture on teaching and learning, Abyssinian educational traditions, leadership and educational management.
Prior to his employment in higher education, he worked as a classroom teacher and school principal of a primary school in Shinara, Eritrea. As a university professor, Amanuel worked as a teaching Professor, Chair of Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education, Dean: Faculty of Education, Deputy Registrar, Academic Registrar, and External Examiner for Mount Kenya University and Kenyatta University in the Departments of Educational Administration and Planning. Currently he is Core Associate Professor in Education, in the Ed.D program at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.
