English Minor

The study of English develops students’ writing, interpretive, and critical-thinking skills in ways that benefit any other area of study they may pursue.

Students at Saint Mary’s can select writing and literature courses to create a custom English minor, tailored to complement their particular interests, major, or career goals.

High School Preparation

High school classes that would be helpful to prepare for the English major: Creative Writing, English, English Literature, Journalism, Latin Literature, Psychology, and Speech.

Enhance Your Experience

Students who minor in English oftentimes pursue additional studies in digital media and journalism, marketingpublic relations, or theatre.
