Thank you for your interest in Saint Mary’s University! We look forward to seeing you on campus and want to ensure you make the most of your visit.

If you plan to visit with eight or more students, please review the following policies before requesting a visit. The maximum number of students we can accommodate is 50. 

You may select one of the following options to take part in during your group visit:

  • An overview of Saint Mary’s and the admission process with an admission counselor (approximately 20 minutes)
  • Campus tour (approximately 1-1.5 hours)
  • Lunch in the cafeteria (must be approved in advance)

Group visits are available for high schools and community groups with students in grades 9th - 12th grade. They are offered Monday through Thursday at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. with the exception of some blackout dates. We do not offer group visits on Saturdays or Sundays.  We ask that you submit your preferred visit date at least one to two weeks in advance using the online group campus visit request form. We will do our best to accommodate your request; however, due to overlapping requests or staff limitations, we may not be able to schedule your visit on one of your requested dates.

Saint Mary’s will confirm your request by email with the date, time, and arrival location of your visit. If you need to cancel, we require that you do so at least 24 hours in advance.

All groups with students must provide one adult chaperone for every 8 students. Campus tours will be led by current Saint Mary’s students, and chaperones are asked to accompany these tours. Saint Mary’s reserves the right to cancel the campus tour if enough chaperones are not available.

Your group will be doing a lot of walking during its time on campus. Please encourage everyone in your group to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. We also encourage to you check the local weather a day or two prior to your visit to see if other items are needed, such as an umbrella or jacket.

If your group would like to eat lunch on campus in our cafeteria for a discounted cost of $9.19 per person, please make arrangements in advance with JoAnn Frahm, Visit Coordinator. Checks should be made payable to the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, Office of Admission. Please note: Lunch is only available while classes are in session.
