Newsletters Work-study openings in sports information

Donny Nadeau, Saint Mary’s sports information director, is looking to hire three or four new student-workers to join the statistical and web streaming crews for soccer, volleyball, hockey, basketball, baseball, and softball. Experience keeping statistics or doing play-by-play or color commentary are not required, but is certainly a bonus, and candidates must have work-study as part of their financial aid package. Food services is hiring students to serve food during meal times in the dining hall and Cardinal Club. This is one of the few non-work-study jobs on campus and it comes with tons of perks. Several months ago, we shared an update about plans for future Schools of Graduate and Professional Programs (SGPP) commencement ceremonies. Beginning in 2022, we will have only two days of in-person ceremonies to celebrate our SGPP graduates. One commencement ceremony will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, off-site at Orchestra Hall (this date is a change from our previous announcement). The other will be in June 2022, with a precise date to be determined.

As the need has increased to locate people, programs, and departments quickly via the university’s directory, so has the need for consistent formatting of job titles, department names, credentials, and other directory information.
