Jacob received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Saint John’s University, and received his Certified Public Accountant certification in 2009. Jacob is a member of the AICPA and MNCPA, and strives to utilize his real world experience to provide students with practical applications to help prepare them for the next stage of their careers. His financial emphasis is in supplier risk management, audit/controls and financial planning & analysis. + More Heneke has worked in Mayo SCM for five years, focusing his efforts on sound SCM controls, fraud prevention/detection, accuracy of balance sheet accounting and other controls-related work, including Mayo’s voluntary Sox compliance. Heneke has taught a variety of undergraduate business topics over the last five years, including forensic accounting, accounting principles, auditing, business math, leadership and budgetary management at Saint Mary’s University, Upper Iowa University and Rochester Community and Technical College. He then moved into industry accounting at Ameriprise, where he worked in accounting policies and procedures, corporate consolidations and the treasury department. + More He had a successful decade as a residential Realtor prior to moving his career into teaching. He holds a bachelor’s degree in both accounting and finance and a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in accounting. Currently, Steve is an assistant professor with Metropolitan State University, teaching advanced managerial and cost accounting courses. He taught at the University of Wisconsin-Stout last year as a fixed term instructor teaching Principles of Financial and Managerial Accounting along with one master’s course in Advanced Managerial Cost Analysis. Steve holds designations as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He is a member of the Minnesota Society of CPAs and serves on the Legislative Committee and Speakers Bureau, the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), the American Association of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association of Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He is also the Metro State campus IMA advocate and faculty advisor to the Accounting/Finance Club. Beverly Kile, M.B.A. M.S. in Accountancy Program - Adjunct Associate Professor firstname.lastname@example.org Beverly Kile’s professional experience involves working in the accounting, tax and consulting areas. + More She was a senior tax accountant, in a busy CPA firm owned by a former partner of Ernst & Ernst. She prepared corporate, partnership, individual and exempt organizations’ income tax returns, including ongoing tax planning for small to medium sized business clients. She also performed reviews, prepared financial statements including all related note disclosures. She provided setup and ongoing support consultation services to clients using in-house accounting software, primarily QuickBooks and Peachtree. Beverly received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and her master’s in Business. She is a Certified Public Accountant currently working in her own practice and reviewing tax returns for a CPA firm during tax season. Beverly has been teaching accounting and tax courses for the last six years. She has a love for accounting, especially tax and all that it can provide in a career. She teaches because she wants to inspire students to go forth in their profession with excitement and passion. He carries Series 7 and Series 63 security licenses and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Paul is an adjunct professor at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. In addition to teaching at Saint Mary’s, Paul has taught financial management and investments in the evening MBA program at St. Thomas and in the Becker-Stalla CFA review program. Sara Shower, M.B.A. B.S. in Accounting - Adjunct Instructor firstname.lastname@example.org Sara Shower began her professional career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working on the assurance team. + More During her time in public accounting, she focused on audits and reviews of publicly traded companies, specifically within the technology industry. Sara left public accounting in 2006 and has since been employed with Target Corporation. At Target, she has held a variety of roles related to technical accounting and SEC reporting, financial planning and analysis, and project management. Sara currently works to support and continue the build-out of the SAP platform within the organization. Sara received her bachelor's degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and her Master's of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota. In addition to teaching at Saint Mary’s, Sara also holds an active CPA license with the state of Minnesota and teaches as an adjunct instructor at Metro State and Century College, specializing in financial accounting and advanced accounting. Sara enjoys teaching accounting to share all of the different opportunities that are available within the industry, and she continues to reinforce with her students that accounting is a great stepping stone to many other opportunities within the business environment.
