Easter weekend travel information and Winona Campus events

March 10, 2021

News Newsletters Student Affairs Undergrad Student Information

With Easter weekend quickly approaching, we wanted to provide you with some updates.

As a reminder, on the Winona Campus, classes are in session Thursday, April 1, and Friday, April 2, until 1 p.m. each day and all day on Monday, April 5. Students are encouraged to celebrate Easter as a Saint Mary’s community.

Easter travel information

Students who elect to travel will be required to participate in a 10-day soft quarantine upon their return and participate in mandatory COVID-19 testing upon their return. The soft quarantine means that you may attend classes, visit the cafeteria, study in the library or other designated spaces, and work out. Student-athletes may participate in practices and strength and conditioning activities as scheduled by their coaches. Students are not permitted to have guests, visit other residence halls, or participate in in-person extracurricular activities.

Students who are traveling and wish to be tested for COVID-19 prior to their departure should contact the Jay Johnson Wellness Center.

All students traveling must participate in mandatory COVID-19 testing upon their return on Friday, April 9. Those unable to participate must contact Student Affairs and submit a negative test result to the Wellness Center by April 13. COVID-19 testing information will be sent directly to students traveling.

Students who fall into the following categories are exempt from travel-related quarantine and testing, if they have documentation on file with the Jay Johnson Wellness Center:

  • Tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 90 days
  • Have been been vaccinated

We encourage you to submit your Easter travel requests by Wednesday, March 24.
