The Career Services and Internships Office offers programs, activities, and resources to assist students in preparing for life after college. We genuinely want to help students go from here to career.

No matter your program, Saint Mary’s emphasis on real-world application of classroom instruction from industry professionals will ensure what you are learning can be applied to your on-the-job life. The sky’s the limit on psychology careers

When psychology Ph.D. students are applying for internship experiences, they may shoot for the moon—but they don’t often think of turning to NASA. As a summer intern with the Office of Naval Research at NASA Ames in Moffett Field, Calif., 2014 Saint Mary’s undergraduate psychology major Ellie Niedbala has been involved with helping astronauts and military personnel learn to deter motion sickness and stress. Internships at Saint Mary's

Many students earn education credits for their internships and establish professional references that can help them secure full-time employment.

Internships allow students to explore their passions and discover alternative career paths that better match their interests. Saint Mary's serves as a connection point between students and employers, recently matching students with organizations such as: Mayo Clinic, Minnesota Zoo, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Fastenal, Wells Fargo, Winona County Attorney's Office, and more. 

Available Resources

The internship and field exploration programs at Saint Mary's help connect students with carefully designed work experiences to explore their aptitudes, abilities, and interests in relation to possible careers. 

The Career Services and Internships Office offers support to help students choose a major and develop career plans, and to help students find jobs or internships after graduation. Students are encouraged to visit the office early in their college career to develop the most effective career path.
