Where will you go with a degree from SMU?

“The education I received at SMU fully prepared me for graduate school and jobs in the professional theatre community. Not only did it provide me with a foundation of knowledge, but also introduced me to a network of theatre artists who have provided support and helped advance my career.”

"I discovered the artist I am at Saint Mary's. The abroad program is amazing! The facilities are top-notch! The teachers are caring and dedicated to the individual! And the opportunities you'll have on stage go unrivaled! SMU ROCKS!!"

~ Andy Greene

Immediately after attending Saint Mary's, Andy was chosen from applicants across the globe to be 1 of only 4 actors accepted into the MFA acting program at the University of Arkansas where he received his Master of Fine Arts in acting. Shorty after receiving his MFA he performed on stage with the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre and then moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue film. Shortly after his arrival, he found a manager and agent and had his first national commercial booked in 3 weeks! Throughout his first year in LA, he's performed in numerous films, TV pilots, plays, commercials, webisodes, and music videos. He continues to find success in the entertainment industry and proudly calls LA his home.

“Almost as important as what I learned in the Saint Mary's Theatre department were the connections I made there. Many of the theatre gigs that I got right out of school were through SMU alumni and faculty.”

“I manage the performing arts center for a private school just outside of Baltimore. I work with K-12 students on a season of 50 productions and lectures. I teach formal drama courses to high school students.
