Team sets goal to help HaitiBeing part of a team means working together toward a common goal. Sometimes that goal is crossing the finish line first, throwing the hardest, or jumping the farthest. But the Saint Mary’s University track and field team extended their typical team goals this summer to helping bring fresh water to a poor community in Haiti. Intramural sports at Saint Mary’s offer a fun way to stay fit, enjoy friendly (but fierce!) competition, and make connections. Options include team sports, individual sports, and special events. The goal is an activity for everyone and everyone in an activity.
Intramural and club sports include ballroom dancing, basketball, broomball, cheerleading, dance team, dodgeball, fencing, flag football, handball, hockey, kickball, rugby, scuba diving, skiing, snowboarding, soccer, softball, Ultimate Frisbee®, volleyball (indoor and sand), water polo, and wiffleball.
Recreation and Fitness
From group exercise to swimming to yoga, 5K fun runs to the Challenge Ropes Course, and many other outdoor activities, Saint Mary’s community members stay active, healthy, and engaged through a wide variety of recreational opportunities for all. Saint Mary’s provides outstanding facilities, safe equipment, and tremendous outdoor opportunities in our beautiful Winona region.
