On a weekday visit, we encourage you to make the most of your day by sitting in on a class, meeting with faculty or coaches, eating lunch on campus, attending a sporting or cultural event, or even taking a hike in the wooded bluffs that surround our campus. Held monthly in various locations throughout the country, these appointments are meant to be convenient for you! What are Regional Admission Appointments? These 30-minute appointments are a great way to have your questions answered by the admission counselor assigned to your region. Typically held in a coffeehouse, restaurant or library, these appointments will give you a great sense of the application process, financial aid forms, and general information about Saint Mary’s University. Whether you are a junior just starting your college search or an admitted senior considering your options, these events will be very helpful for you and your family and get you on your way to scheduling an on-campus visit! *NOTE: Financial Aid appointments are for seniors only. Regional Appointments by State Major Focus Visit Days Major-specific visit days+ More What are Focus Days? Focus days are one-day events where academic departments showcase the work of their students, share opportunities, discuss career options, and more. Why should I attend this event? You will have the opportunity to meet and talk with current students that are doing exactly what you want to do. They will share their experiences about classes, research, and internships. You can also meet and discuss career options with professors, and more. Use this mid-winter opportunity to further explore your future college home and have your questions answered before embarking on the financial aid process. This event includes spending a night on campus with a current Saint Mary’s student. Motor coach trips from the Twin Cities, Chicago, and Milwaukee are available at no cost. What is Simply Senior Days? In addition to spending the night on campus, you can sit in on classes, attend info sessions, connect one-on-one with admission counselors, and meet faculty in your major area. Fine Arts scholarship auditions are also held on this day. Families are encouraged to attend and special rates are available at local hotels. More Information and Registration Scholarship Recognition Day – Saturday, Feb. 13 For invited scholarship recipients (and their family and friends)+ More Why should you attend this event? The Scholarship Recognition Day is a special event for our Presidential, Bishop Heffron, and Trustee scholarship recipients and their families. This event recognizes the accomplishments of our highest-achieving admitted students. What is Scholarship Recognition Day? This event features a formal luncheon hosted by Saint Mary’s President William Mann, F.S.C. Leading up to the luncheon, students may attend presentations about the honors program, key academic majors, study abroad, and our Living Learning Communities followed by an entertaining coach bus tour of Winona. Fine Arts scholarship auditions are also held on this day. Invited students are strongly encouraged to attend. Special Saint Mary’s rates are available at local hotels. Spring Preview Day – Saturday, April 23 For juniors and sophomores (and their family and friends)+ More Why should you attend this event? Spring Preview Day is our first event of the spring that has a focus on juniors and sophomores — take advantage of your spring break and visit campus! A motor coach trip is available from the Twin Cities at no cost. What is Spring Preview Day? Spring Preview Day is an introduction to Saint Mary’s for high school juniors and sophomores beginning their college search. Visitors can tour the campus, learn about academic departments, and speak with Saint Mary's staff and students. There are sessions reviewing the college search timeline, applying to Saint Mary’s, and how to access scholarship and financial aid resources. Registration coming soon! Admitted Student Day – Saturday, April 9, 2016 For admitted seniors (and their family and friends)+ More What is Admitted Student Day? This special event is for admitted students only. Attend info sessions about housing, academic services, health services, connect one-on-one with our financial aid staff regarding your financial aid award, and more. Families are strongly encouraged to attend. Why should you attend this event? Admitted Student Day is the perfect opportunity to visit Saint Mary’s one last time before you make your college decision. This event includes a preliminary course advising session for confirmed students. Motor coach transportation is available from the Chicago and Milwaukee areas at no cost to the student and up to two family members. Fall Preview Days give you an opportunity to not only tour the campus and learn about the application process, but allow you to visit Saint Mary’s classes. You may also attend info sessions about key academic departments, financial aid, and current student perspectives. Held during key school holidays in Minnesota and Illinois, Fall Preview Days are a great first or second visit opportunity to Saint Mary’s.
