Our academic leadership collaborates to oversee all academic activities of the university, including: academic planning and budgeting; faculty and academic staff recruitment; development and advancement of faculty; program evaluation; assessment of student learning; processes governing academic standards and policies; and academic support services.

The Office of the Provost serves the students and faculty of the university, and welcomes any questions or concerns you may have.

Annual Report

Throughout the 2021-22 academic year, we worked together and by association under pandemic conditions. Despite the challenges caused by the crisis, we were guided by a solid strategic plan, approved by the board in October 2019. We also pledged as a community to remain “steadfast and resilient” throughout these difficult times. Because we stayed true to our plan and remained animated by our Lasallian spirit, we made significant progress and delivered the quality education for which our university is known. As an academic team, we accomplished much. Read more in our 2021-22 Provost’s Annual Report.

Building Character, Cultivating Virtues

Ever since Saint John Baptist de la Salle introduced a new approach to education more than 300 years ago, the formation of the whole student has been at the heart of a Lasallian Catholic education. With a renewed focus on character and virtue education, Saint Mary’s continues to shape the lives of our students through holistic character development and the cultivation of intellectual, moral, and civic virtues.
