Audition & Portfolio Deadlines

$1,000 to $3,000 Per Academic Year

For exceptionally talented students who plan to major in art or design. These awards are determined based on the quality of your portfolio.

Applicants must submit a portfolio of 10 works of art. The work in the portfolio should illustrate the student's drawing competency, ability to use color well, creativity, and craftsmanship. We suggest that you consult with your art teacher in the preparation of the portfolio. All works must be original (not copied from other art or photographs).

$1,000 to $3,000 Per Academic Year

For accomplished musicians who demonstrate mastery of instruments or voice. These awards will be based upon auditions. You do not need to be a music major.

Auditionees will perform two short contrasting solo excerpts, with a total length of 10 minutes. Music selections should be from the standard repertoire and of high caliber. Jazz musicians should be prepared to demonstrate an understanding of jazz styles and improvisation techniques. Auditionees should be prepared to sight read and instrumentalists will also be asked to perform scales. Detailed repertoire lists are available from the Department of Music website. An on-campus audition is preferred.
