Psy.D. Alumni Leader Speaker Series — Mind of the Athlete and High Performers: Evidence-Based Clinical Frameworks for High-Performance Populations
November 7 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
$25

What happens when the very qualities that fuel success also contribute to distress? Join Saint Mary’s alumna Kathleen Peterson, Psy.D., L.P. for “Mind of the Athlete and High Performers: Evidence-Based Clinical Frameworks for High-Performance Populations,” a session that examines the unique clinical considerations of working with high performers, offering tools for supporting mental health without overlooking the role that purpose, identity, and performance play in clients’ lives.
“I am grateful for the Saint Mary’s Psy.D. program — it challenged me to grow both personally and professionally,” Dr. Peterson shares. “From helping me tailor my academic work and training experiences to my interests to supporting me through life’s twists and turns, the Psy.D. at Saint Mary’s prepared me to not only be a well-rounded psychologist but also a more grounded and confident person.” A sport psychologist and 2024 Saint Mary’s graduate, Dr. Peterson works with athletes and other high-achieving individuals at Achieve Performance Psychology in Minnetonka, Minn.
This session is part of Saint Mary’s Psy.D. Alumni Leaders Speaker Series.
The series is an affordable continuing education opportunity featuring graduate leaders from the Psy.D. in Counseling Psychology program and highlights licensed psychologists working across a range of clinical, consultation, assessment, and leadership settings.
