Chronic illness can reshape nearly every part of daily life. Join Saint Mary’s alumnus Rory Feeney, Psy.D., L.P. for “Coping with Chronic Illness.” Using a biopsychosocial lens, this session examines clinical and ethical considerations in assessment and evidence-based treatment while helping clinicians connect clients with appropriate resources and care.
“Saint Mary’s Psy.D. program provided a strong foundational knowledge base and clinical skillset that allowed me to successfully transition into independent practice within a large Integrated Healthcare Setting as a member of an Interdisciplinary Team,” Dr. Feeney shares. “I appreciate how invested the core faculty were in each of us, personally and professionally. They helped us think critically about our coursework, including electives, practicums, and unique opportunities like the individual mentorship. I felt very well-prepared entering doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship.” A 2019 alumnus, Dr. Feeney is a Consultation-Liaison Rehabilitation psychologist at Allina Health.

This session is part of Saint Mary’s Psy.D. Alumni Leaders Speaker Series.
The series is an affordable continuing education opportunity featuring graduate leaders from the Psy.D. in Counseling Psychology program and highlights licensed psychologists working across a range of clinical, consultation, assessment, and leadership settings.
