When intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors follow trauma, how can clinicians tell whether PTSD, OCD, or both are at work? Join Saint Mary’s alumnus Keyur Desai, Psy.D., L.P. for “Differentiating between OCD and PTSD,” a session explores the diagnostic overlap between the two disorders, the functions underlying similar-looking behaviors, and key distinctions between OCD and trauma-related obsessions and compulsions.
A 2015 alumnus, Dr. Desai is a psychologist at Minerva Center for Psychology in Saint Paul, Minn., and the associate director of Practicum Training for the M.A. in Counseling and Psychological Services program at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
