Education Specialist Degree in Teacher Leadership

Lead outside the classroom.

Elevate your education and career in teacher leadership with our Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) in Teacher Leadership.

This program is designed for mid-career and experienced teachers with a master’s degree who aspire to leadership roles and wish to deepen their instructional and leadership expertise beyond the master’s level, rather than pursuing licensed administrative positions.

Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to facilitate a master’s level lane change, further enhancing your professional qualifications and career trajectory.

At Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, we’re committed to helping you grow as an educational leader. You’ll develop essential skills in teacher leadership, including curriculum development, cultural competence, and behavioral interventions. Our program equips current teachers preparing for leadership roles with the skills essential to become leaders, mentors, and coaches for their colleagues.

As a graduate of the program, you’ll not only understand all state competencies but will become a school leader that leads by example, develops relationships, and creates a school environment where students and teachers learn to “think reflectively and function at high stages of moral reasoning.”

Start your journey to becoming a teacher leader. Apply today to get started!
