Saint Mary’s athletic director Brian Sisson and head women’s basketball coach Courtney Shelton were featured in a Winona Post article about Winona’s eighth annual Grocery Grab. Participants raced through Midtown Foods to collect as many groceries as possible in 90 seconds to donate to Winona Volunteer Services. Sisson and Shelton came in second place, grabbing $1,016.78 worth of groceries.

“We absolutely love participating in this great impactful community event each year,” said Brian Sisson about the event. “It is such a fun and great cause that brings a lot of the Winona community together.”

From the Story:

“Team members raced around aisle corners with carts flying all over as an announcer gave a play-by-play of what groceries they snagged, reminding contestants not to pull a hammy if picking up canned ham. This year marked the eighth annual Grocery Grab. WNB Financial and Midtown Foods collaborated on the event in support of the Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign and Winona Volunteer Services Food Shelf.”
