Access to campus buildings and facilities remains closed
WINONA, Minn. — As part of its fall opening plan, and in keeping with local and state COVID-19 safety guidelines, Saint Mary’s University is reopening its walking trails and The Woods Disc Golf Course to the general public, beginning Saturday, Aug. 1. The public is asked to maintain social distance with other users and wear a mask when social distancing may not be possible.
As part of Saint Mary’s overall precautionary measures, indoor facilities are only usable at a limited capacity, and student need is the university’s top priority. Until further notice, all Winona Campus buildings and facilities remain closed to the public including:
- The Jul Gernes Pool
- The indoor track, weight room, and workout facilities in Gostomski Fieldhouse
- The ice arena
- The gymnasium
- The Fitzgerald Library
- Saint Thomas More Chapel
- Alverna Center
- The outdoor track
Additionally, Saint Mary’s facilities are not available for rental until further notice, with the exception of Chapel of Saint Mary of the Angels.
Page Series offerings are also unfortunately suspended until January, and most major external events are canceled, postponed, or offered virtually through January.
Saint Mary’s i.t.a. Clinic will also switch to virtual this fall, and Saint Mary’s will be in touch with families learning the reading program.
Saint Mary’s appreciates your patience and understanding at this time and looks forward to welcoming the Winona community back to its trails and disc golf course Aug. 1.
